Andrew Wilson was born 1886 in Port Glasgow, Renfrewshire, Scotland. He was the son of Andrew Wilson (1857-1885) and Elizabeth Rafferty (1857-?). His siblings were James Wilson (1877-1949), Helen Nairn Wilson (1881-1951).
