Jennet Wilson was born 13 APR 1719 in East Kilbride, Lanark, Scotland. She was the daughter of Andrew Wilson (1683-?) and Isobell Thomson (1684-?). Her siblings were William Wilson (1713-?), Helen Wilson (1709-?).
